Two Community Surveys

There are a couple of matters in the Islandora community that need your feedback through a short survey:

Updates: the Second Islandora Conference, May 15 - 19, 2017

The first Islandora conference took place in Charlottetown, PEI, back in August of 2015. It was a rousing success, so we're doing it again, this time in Hamilton, Ontario.

The Islandora Foundation, with Islandoracon host McMaster University, invites you to join us May 15 - 19 for sessions, workshops, and the best opportunity you'll get to meet up with your fellow islandora users and share your knowledge.

Registration is open, with Early Bird rates until January 31st.

Islandoracon CFP Extended to January 13th

Islandoracon is happening May 15 - 19 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Join the Islandoracon community for a week of sessions, workshops, and collaboration. Our Call for Proposals for sessions, posters, and post-conference events is being extended to January 13th, 2017.

Security Fix for Islandora 7.x-1.2 and above

A security issue has been identified in core Islandora by Mitchell MacKenzie that would allow an attacker to use some of its endpoints as open proxies. A hotfix patch has been developed for immediate application that disables the functionality of these endpoints. It takes the form of two modules, each of which closes one of the endpoints in question.

Islandora Camp BC 2016 - Registration now open!

The Islandora Foundation is pleased to announce the details of Canadian Islandora Camp for 2016: iCampBC2, taking place in Vancouver, BC from July 18 - 20 and sponsored by the British Columbia Electronic Library Network. Early Bird registration is open until May 15th. There will also be an opportunity to win a free registration by entering our logo contest and designing the camp t-shirt.

We are calling for proposals from potential attendees to present about their Islandora sites, community projects, or other topics of interest to the digital repository community and Islandora.

Islandora Camp Florida- New Dates

The next Islandora Camp will be at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. To avoid a conflict with Code4Lib, the dates have changed from March 7-9 to May 4-6. We hope you'll still join us in Florida to talk about Islandora!
