1st Islandora Camp Europe a Tuscan Success

I've had a week or so to recover from our first European Islandora Camp and I can say that is was a great success. Camp was located in the historic Castle in the town of Arcidosso in Tuscany Italy and it would not have been possible without our hosts: Alex Siedlecki, the town of Arcidosso and the Shang Shung Institute.

Islandora Camp PEI: July 7

Details are still in the works, but we have picked the date for Islandora Camp in PEI this year: Sunday, July 7. Right before Open Repositories 2013. Because of our heavy participation in OR2013, Islandora Camp will be abbreviated to a day and a half of sessions and events. Hope to see you there!

Upcoming Events (April & May 2013)

Islandora has a busy calendar for the next couple of months. Starting with Mark Leggott and Kathleen Van Ekris at the Research Data Access and Preservation Summit (April 4 - 5, Baltimore, MD) and ending with a slew of events at the end of May: team members are helping to host the Atlantic Provinces Library Association conference (May 14 -17 , 2013, Charlottetown, PE), attending DrupalCon (May 20 - 24, 2013, Portland, OR), and giving a workshop for the Preservation and Archiving Special Interest Group (May 22 - 24, 2013, Washington, DC).

And of course, Islandora is helping to host the Open Repositories 2013 conference in Charlottetown, PE from July 8-12.

For a complete list of recent and upcoming conferences and workshops where Islandora will have a presence, check out our Events page. If you would like to schedule a meet up with us at any of these events, please contact us to make arrangements.
