Islandora is an open-source software framework designed to help institutions and organizations and their audiences collaboratively manage, and discover digital assets using a best-practices framework.  Islandora was originally developed by the University of Prince Edward Island's Robertson Library, but is now implemented and contributed to by an ever-growing international community.

Islandora Foundation: New Members

UT Austin has long been a major implementer of Islandora and engaged with the community. They join the Islandora Foundation as a Collaborator.

Islandora 7.x-1.9 Call for Volunteers

Islandora is released twice-yearly, at the end of April and October.

We are now looking for volunteers to join the team for the April release of Islandora 7.x-1.9, including a Release Manager, if anyone wants to try their hand at the wheel (support from former release managers is readily available!). We also welcome co-managers if you prefer to tackle it as a team.
